What you are referring to is Bates Numbering. The only way to do this with vanilla Laserfiche is with Snapshot as there is a Bates Numbering settings if you go into printing preferences, but you would need to snapshot into another document before actual printing.

Quickfields also can do this with the correct module as well as Adobe Acrobat Pro. For us, we ended up writing our own software to handle it.
