Question

multiple failed to load image message

asked on August 31, 2016

My customer is having a failed to load image message failure that is popping up numerous times.

Scenario:

The user scanned in 2 pages. Then the same error popped up. Failed to load image over 200 times before I stopped it.  I uninstalled and reinstalled QF, it never asked me for any licenses information or anything like that. It would have appeared to me that it “remembered” all the previous information that was there before. Is there a process to uninstall QF that I should be following? I also had them do the most recent hotfix for QF9.

A. why are they continuously getting the failed to load image when scanning?

B. What are some steps to take besides a reinstall which has already been done?

Error messages attached.

Thanks Tessa,

The resolution we came to is there appears to be a windows registry hanging on to the program that needs to be wiped, cleaned, or otherwise.  The customer is working on their windows machine now which should fix the issue.

Thanks!

If you open up task manager while this issue is happening, is there is an LFOmniOCR.exe process running? If so, what is its memory usage?

The process is running, but customer says it doesn't appear to be doing anything strange usage-wise.

Please see if you can reproduce this issue with your VAR kit. Then, open a support case and include a description of the issue and what happened when you tried to reproduce the issue.
