It seems to be half-working. I didn't get the warning during uninstallation now, and at the start of the installation it allowed me to proceed, but at the end of the installation at the "Start Services" stage it said activation failed. It did this for both LF Server and Web Access. Manual activation using the tool gives the same error.
You know, it would have been nice for Laserfiche to send out some kind of announcement for this maintenance. We had planned to do a bunch of work this weekend for meetings we have early this week. And yet all the LF websites were down yesterday so we weren't able to download any packages, and activation still doesn't work. If we had known about this maintenance in advance, we would have planned around it.
