Hi Team,

Need to know if it is possible to create an XML file using metadata from documents in Workflow and have the file exported out of laserfiche? or emailed?

Hi Ziad,

If you know the structure of your XML file you want to create, you can do this easily using a Script activity and a token or two. Simply create the token with the XML structure you need and then plug in your metadata tokens inside.

I've attached a quick workflow that creates a Laserfiche LFE shortcut XML file that points to the entryID of a folder created in the Workflow. Hopefully this is enough to get you started. Just rename the file from "Workflow 1.txt" to "Workflow 1.wfx"

Yes you can create an xml template file and then use workflow to populate it with the desired metadata.
