Question

Searching for a forms task

asked on August 25, 2016

Is there any way to search for a forms task based on the field values?

The users are unable to add any of the fields from the form to their columns making it so that each task needs to be manually opened in order to find the one they are looking for.

It seems awfully cumbersome to do this, is there another way to find your task based on metadata that I am overlooking?

I believe the default instance name is Instance ID: #####, but to change it in Forms 10, go to the process in question and go to the Publishing Options. There is an option there to Edit the Instance Name.

Take note that if you change the name the current instance names, I do not believe they update until the instance moves to the next step.

I don't believe it is possible with the field values, but you can search on the instance name. So if you add the field value to the instance name then it would make it searchable.

What is the default instance name? Where do I set the instance name? That is not one of my columns.
