Question

Re-Route a form back to the originator to complete a rest of form

asked on August 22, 2016

Hello!

I have a form with two separate sections. The first section requires someone to fill out personal information and report an incident. The form is then submitted to a person who reviews the information and indicates the information is correct. The form would then be sent back to the submitter to complete section two on the form.

Question is: is there a way to send section one, and if approved, section two is made available and is sent back to the submitter to complete?

The easiest way to do this is to use two different forms.

Form 1 would be the starting form, and would contain Section 1.

Form 2 would contain Section 1 (variables, not as new fields) and Section 2.

Initiator fills out Form 1, and approver approves Form 1. Then initiator gets Form 2 as a task. It contains the data they have filled out from Form 1, as well as a blank Section 2 they can fill out.

OKay. I shall try this. Would you have an example of a BP to set this up?

I don't, but if you're on Forms 10, the Business Process Library should have some examples.
