LF Ricoh Connector: "Failed to communicate with Laserfiche Server"

asked on August 19, 2016 Show version history

Hi, we are new to Laserfiche and we are trying to use the LF Ricoh Connector.

The app works fine while browsing repository and printing documents, but we have an issue when trying to scan with document templates and using TIFF or JPG (PDF works fine, and TIFF and JPG without template too).

The app display this error: "Failed to communicate with Laserfiche Server", and this only happens when selected file format is JPG or TIFF, and it's strange 'cause if we do the same thing with Laserfiche Client o Web Access with the same user and file formats works fine.

Any idea?

After making a lot of testing we found where the problem was.
The LF Ricoh Connector doesn't correctly handle field names with graphic accents, we were using a field called "Cédula" instead of "Cedula".
For reasons that we don't know, this works as expected in LF Client and Web Access with all file formats (TIFF, JPG and PDF) but in LF Ricoh Connector only works with PDF.
