Weblink search forms search by template name

asked on August 18, 2016 Show version history

Is there an option when creating a search form to search by template name? The current case is for a City Clerk. They have a separate template for agendas and minutes as opposed to ordinances and resolutions. They want to have the ability to search across one template or both templates. This would be ideal to have as a checkbox option. Any assistance is appreciated.

Hi Cristobal,

When creating a custom search form in the WebLink Designer, you can add an input and set the "Bind To" to the Template search type, where you can configure a drop-down or set of radio buttons; the default list is the list of all templates in the repository, but this can be edited. [see 01-designer.png]

Then if you use the linked constraint, the resulting form will search for entries with the selected template: 02-example.png. This can be used in conjunction with other input fields and the constraints modified accordingly.

Hope this helps!
