Can workflow assign a star to a document for a particular user?

Is it possible to have Workflow assign the star or "favorite" a document for a user?  It would be great for users to have the ability to select the "Starred" location for all documents that need their attention or need to know have been input into the system.

Not in the next version, but it is on our to-do list.
