Question

Outlook 2013 add-in Save Attachment To Laserfiche

asked on August 15, 2016

User is having issues after upgrading to Laserfiche 10.

First, the document is no longer setting the name of the document to the entry ID. It is now setting it to a count ID. The token that is set is %(Id).

When we import the document, it sets the document name to "1.pdf".

If I attempt to import another document using %(Id), it will not import the document. It will throw the pop-up window stating that the import is done.

If I change the document name to another token or another name, it will import the document.

This seems to be a bug in the Office Plugin version 10; SCR 148138 has been filed to address it. The %(Id) token seems to work for metadata just not for the name of the entry.

For the moment, until it can be fixed, the workarounds would be to use version 9.2.1 of the Office Plugin, or to import directly through the Client, where the %(Id) token does resolve correctly. Thank you again for bringing it up.

I would also like to add that we are able to replicate this issue on multiple users machines.
