Has anyone scripted or done an automated process from moving workflows and forms from a Dev environment to a Production environment?

We have a dev server that has a different name that has forms and workflow.  It also has a different repository name.  We can export workflows and import them but then we have to change all the data sources since we are using dev data sources too.  I know we can export a Forms process but it seems we have to touch all activities because of server and repository and Form url differences.  

We were looking at the XML's using powershell to see about changing things there but there seem to be unique ID's for processes that we are not sure about.

We found that with Forms, if you export a process with datasources, then import that process to a different Forms server that does not have that datasource configured, it wipes all the lookups...  So we basically have to have our dev data source in production, import the process, then go flip all the lookup rules to live (and re-do the conditions).  This is very time consuming as we have quite a few rules.

Has anyone used scripting or SDK to better automate the import of a workflow and forms process from one environment to another?
