Question

forms lookup based on 2 criteria doesn't update when fields change

asked on August 10, 2016

I have the following lookup

If you  have the Project field and Scope field already set and you change only the Project field on the form the data in the fields set to Fill does not update unless the Scope field is also changed. In some cases the Scope field only has 1 option and can't be changed.

If you have more than 1 field in the criterion, you will see an "Auto fill" button next to the last criterion field when fill the form, you need to click that button to tell when should the lookup be triggered. Did you see that button? Or you have some customize script to hide this button?

No Auto fill button on my form. The only fields I am hiding with javascript are fields with the CSS class "Submit".

Here is my entire lookup configuration

What version of Forms are you using? I checked with Forms 10.1 and Forms 10.0 by creating same lookup rules as your screenshot, there does no auto fill button, but only change the Project filed can fill all the fields.  See video here: http://screencast.com/t/dKVgaJvs

If this issue persistent, can you open an support case with exported process?

I am on Forms 10.1.0.575

In your video when you selected the project field, but the scope was changed automatically based on the lookup. Then the rest of the fields were filled.

Now try changing the project field again, but to another project with the same scope, so that the scope field does not change.

When only the project field is changed without changing the scope field, the fields are not filled with new values.

This issue has been fixed with both Forms 10.1 update 3 and Forms 10.2.
