Workflow "Self Terminate" After Specified Time

asked on August 9, 2016

I have a workflow that on rare occasions will hang as a certain VBscript task is run.  I've been unable to determine why the script task hangs.

Is there a way to force a workflow to "Self Terminate" or continue processing the next step if the script fails to respond in a certain amount of time (less than 1 minute)?

There's a script timeout that can be configured in the WF Admin Console under Server Configuration\Security\Scripting\Performance. The lowest value it can be set to is 1 minute.

I found a setting called "Script disconnect timeout" under Security\Scripting on the Performance (Advanced) tab, and it is set to 2 minutes.  That doesn't seem to be working with my script task.  I've had these workflows running for days stuck on the script task.

I'm running Workflow 9.2.
