Question

Choosing CANCEL in Excel SAVE dialog box doesn't work

asked on August 8, 2016 Show version history

I'm using LF Web Access 10.1 to access Excel and Word docs.  When opening an Excel doc, I make a simple change and then choose exit.  It gives me the options as:

YES         NO          CANCEL

Choosing Yes saves or asks for version information then saves.

Choosing No closes the document without saving

Choosing CANCEL makes the dialog box blink but doesn't return you to the Excel sheet to continue editing.

Any way to return to the Excel sheet without discarding changes or saving?

Hi Michelle,

Which version of MS office and LF client and which browser do you use? Does the issue occur on other type documents such as word or ppt or other excel document?

Thanks,

Qinmei

Qinmei,  MS Office is 2016 (16.0.4390.1000) 32-bit

Internet Explorer is 11 vers. 11.494.10586.0

LF Web Access is 10.1 Updated 1 (10.1.1.248)

Issue occurs on all Excel docs in the repository both versioned and un-versioned

Issue does not occur on Word docs in repository; CANCEL button closes dialog box and returns me to the document

Hello,

Just curious if a resolution was found for this issue?

We have heard from a client they are having this issue occur on 10.2 as well.
