Question

Process reports

asked on August 5, 2016

I'm having issues trying to get any results out of Process Reports in LF Forms.  The Admin Guide seems to still reference Forms 9 so I'm feeling a little lost for 'how to' information on this.  Looking for some guidance!

I only have two forms currently running in our environment since I'm just getting things running.  So, I was trying to see how many IT forms I had processed and I keep getting "You don't have any instances".  Do reports only run on active instances?  If so, why does it offer the option of selecting start date timeframes like "Year to Date"?

Any experienced Process Reporting folks who can set this novice straight?  Appreciated, thanks!

Hi Michelle,

Laserfiche Forms can report on active instances as well as completed instances. When you create a report, you'd have the option to filter the report based on the instance status. You can select "in-progress" to display active instances, or "completed" to display completed instances. The start date allows you to filter the report based on a time frame. Information collected throughout the business process, such as Forms variables and process results, can also be used to create reports.

For more information on working with process results and reports, feel free to check out this page in the help files. Hope that helps!

If you set the start date to any option except "All" when create a report, there will be no instances in the report. This is bug for Forms 10.1, we will address it in the coming update for Forms 10.1
