My organization stores data in multiple repositories for an added level of security. We have recently upgraded to Rio (v10.1) and were curious if there is a way to navigate to multiple repositories in Web Access. From what we have seen the only way to do this is to use the URL for each repository, otherwise the page will default to a single repository. We can do this with Web link perfectly, but Web Access does not have this functionality from what we can see. Has anyone run into this, or know of a workaround?

Hi, Chase,
Are you using Laserfiche Directory Service to authenticate to your repositories? If you do not have LFDS connected your Web Access, then the sign in page will give you a drop down to choose from your connected repositories.
If you are using LFDS to authenticate to Web Access, then your current workaround to edit the URL is your best option. This is a known issue, and we are working on adding an easier way to access different repositories from the UI.
In the meantime, if you don't want to keep editing your URL manually, may I suggest bookmarking the URLs to different repositories in your browser?
Cheers
I have the same question. We are not using LFDS. We use License manager and windows authentication. Can user be logged in to multiple repositories in web access at a time? As they can in client?
As Brian noted, you can use the new Repository navigation dropdown to get to other repositories that have been added in the web client's configuration page.
So, yes, you can be logged into multiple repositories in the web client (web access). You will not see multiple repository trees within the same window, though. Instead, the other repository will open in a new browser tab.
If you are not using LFDS, then you will have to enter credentials to login to that other repository.
Thank you for your reply.
I have tried that. I can not stay logged in to 2 repositories in different tabs. It keeps only one session. Logs me off the other window/tab.
Ah, I see. It looks like you are using Web Access 9.2? The Repository Navigation feature was just released on 10.2. If you upgrade, then you'll be able to have more than one repository session!
Hi Alex,
We are using LFDS, so as stated above I guess our best option is to save bookmarks.
We would be interested to learn about the resolution with the known issue.
Thank you!
Web Access 10.2 has added a repository picker to the top navigation bar, which will show the other repositories that it is configured to use.
To clarify, the repository picker will only allow you to access your other repositories once you are already signed in.
Unfortunately, this does not necessarily address your original post's question. You will still have to rely on a bookmark to navigate to a non-default repository if you are not already logged in to LFDS.
