Question

Possiblity to export a specific list of customers

asked on August 1, 2016

Hi everyone,

I have a workflow that send all expired passport to a specific folder in the repository when it has reached its expired date.

I would like to know if there is  a possibility to have/export a list of Specific customers having expired passports during the month of July 2016 in EXCEL format from Laserfiche?

Kind Regards,

Ketsia

Export has been renamed to Download in version 10. It does the same thing, it exports a list of what you see in the selected folder. The columns exported match your view at the time you downloaded the report. If you add the Company Name column, it will be part of your report.

You can do the same thing from search results where you could run a search for passports expired in July.

The exported file is a CSV file which can be opened in Excel.

Doing that manually is easy enough. From the folder with the list of expired items in the Laserfiche Client, you'd go to File -> Export -> List Contents, and then export them as a CSV, which can be opened as a spreadsheet in Excel.

If you wanted it to generate the file automatically as a workflow I think you might have to do some custom scripting. I may be wrong here though, as there is certainly a way to create a List Item to a Sharepoint site. You might be able to pull the metadata on your expired passports and use that to populate the list. Then you could download to Excel from the Sharepoint easily enough.

Hi Glen,

Thank you for the reply, I do not see any Export option. Could you please share a screenshot with me?

Hi Glen,

I don't have export button instead I have Download and when I click on it, it gives me a report of the name of the document/creation date .

What I want exactly is the metadata fields found inside. There is a dynamic field 'Company Name I want to export a list of specific company names having expired passports during the month of July 2016 in EXCEL format from Laserfiche?
