Question

Workflow server configuration with remote SQL Server

asked on July 26, 2016

Hello,

I have to configure a Laserfiche workflow server with remote SQL Server. At the end, I get an error because the workflow server can't "Testing database connection on SLAFI01:8085" but SLAFI01 is the workflow server's name not the SQL Server's name but I can't figure out how to solve this issue.

You'll find in attachments a screen shot for each steps of the configuration and the configuration's log.

Is SSQL04\AvtSQLs is a domain user? It looks to be a local Windows account on the remote server. Machine accounts can't connect remotely. You need to use either a domain account or a SQL Server account.

Hello Miruna,

SSQL04\AvtSQLs is a domain user. Like I said in my previous post at the end of the log file there is an error message : "Testing database connection on SLAFI01:8085" but SLAFI01 is the workflow server's name not the SQL Server's name and I didn't use SLAFI01 at any step so I don't know from where it comes but I think this is what makes the error happen.

Any idea on how to change that ?

So SSQL04 is the name of the domain, not the name of the SQL Server machine?

No, you were right. The customer told me that it was a domain user but it wasn't. Since he tried with a real domain user the installation went fine.

Thank you Miruna,

Best Regards.
