Question

Display Confirmation dialog box on button click

asked on July 25, 2016

Hi All,

I've a request to build a form submission process where when a user submits a form via a predefined submit button, it should display a confirmation dialog box. The dialog box should have a confirmation message with two options "Yes" to proceed with the submission and "No" to stay in the current form instance.

Does Forms Version 10.1 supports predefined buttons[Submit,Approve,Reject] customisation?

I would really appreciate if someone can share a script to customise the predefined buttons .

Many thanks in advance.

I would recommend referring to this post instead. It is a little more code, but it should be perfectly ready to copy-and-paste into your form without any modification.

Thanks Scott and Xavier for the suggestions.

I can get the popup working on a custom buttons but not on the predefined [Submit,Approve,Reject] buttons.

It would be nice to have this feature included in future release of forms.

Anyways thanks again for your help.

Hi Aman,

You can modify the behavior of the form using javascript. You can refer to this past post for a sample script. https://answers.laserfiche.com/questions/68220/Forms--Show-modal-dialog-on-submit
