I can't seem to find the Links tab anywhere in the metadata. How do I see linked documents?
Under options how do I remove the default to generate pages? I see it in my client but not in Web Access.

Hi Chad,
In the metadata tab for an entry is there no row for "Links"? (see attached image)
What exactly are you asking for regarding the "remove default to generate pages"?
Aha! Thanks, I was looking for it as a tab. There is a setting (I guess its just for PDF documents) that removes the default of generating pages. Usually its off by default but it's on by default in Web Access and the setting is missing.
Hi Chad,
We removed the setting in Web Access 10 as part of cleaning up some of the older options that were not commonly used anymore. Can you provide some information on why you would NOT want pages generated from your PDFs?
That said, I believe that it will still follow the setting if it's explicitly disabled in the 10 Client.
How do I explicitly disable in the client? I just have a checkbox to enable it, and with that unchecked it's still enabled in Web Access.
I do have a very good reason for needing it disabled beyond just saving resources.
In my experience, many PDF's when generating pages just end up with blank generated pages.
This causes a major conflict with another problem. There is a setting in Web Access to default to open the PDF document in the document viewer that doesn't work in Chrome. It just downloads the document and the user doesn't ever see the metadata associated with it in order to approve it.
I have found a way around this by using a link to the document that includes the command "view=pages" which when opening a PDF document without pages actually opens it in the PDF document viewer within Chrome and allows the user to see the metadata.
If pages are generated and they are blank then instead this view=pages command just causes a blank document to open. So I don't want the users having a default to generate pages if they want to use a PDF file. I would rather it just stay a PDF file.
For the last several years it has been a default to have generate pages unchecked, and they must specify if they want to generate pages.
