Also check the "Document" tab in the properties dialog:

In some cases a document can be checked out internally while appearing to not be checked out. This can happen if a user begins editing a document and the client closes without being able to check it back in. You can have the user re-open the document and save it to undo the checkout.

Hi Gian,

I've seen this error in the past when the document is locked by another user (if they have it open). Do you have any idea who might have the document open?

Cheers!

Hi Chris,

I check with the users and nobody has the document opened.

Thanks
Gian

HI Gian,

Users.....you believe them? Ha ha. Check under the sessions of the users who might have it open and check they don't have Excel.exe listed in any of the connections. Failing that try re-starting the LF Server Service and try checking the document out again.

Cheers!
