Parse a multi-value field

I am working with Marriage records that contain a multi-value field for Spouse Name.  I need to name the document LastName, LastName.  So in the example below the document name would be Smith, Jones.

Hi, Sandy!

Could you explain what product we're talking about here? Names are generally hard to break down with pattern matching because they can vary so much (Sam Smith, Sue Jones-Smith, Sam Jones Jr.,  Sam T. Smith, etc).
