Question

Laserfiche context menu not displayed

asked on July 14, 2016

I need to be able to change the security settings of the root folder. I thought I used to do this by right-clicking on the root folder in the folder pane.  Now when I right-click on the folder pane I get the IE context menu...

Am I wrong and this has always worked this way or is this something that can be fixed?

We are using Web Access version 10.1.0.203.

Click on it in the tree and then select show security under advanced options in the command bar overflow menu.

Hi Gene,

This is a bug (146079) that was introduced in 10.1. It will be fixed in the next update. In the meantime, please use the middle-pane context menu, or the overflow in the command bar.

Hi Gene,

The original issue reported in this thread has been fixed in Web Access 10.1.2, released as part of Laserfiche 10.1 Update 2. The context menu will now appear in the folder tree as expected.

For more information, please see KB1013798, which also contains links to the downloads for Web Access 10.1.2.

It works for me both in Chrome and IE. Are you sure you are right clicking on root folder and not empty space?

Yes, I am clicking on the folder name.  To double-check I highlighted the root folder name first and then right-clicked on it.

NOTE:  The middle pane works as expected, when I right-click on it I get the Laserfiche context menu.
