Cannot Open Office Documents

Before I start a case, has anyone ever had an issue where you cannot open Word or Excel documents in WebAccess? Doesnt matter who the user is, whenever we try and open an Office document we get the following error.

A connection to Web Access cannot be made. Refresh Web Access and try again.

The request failed with HTTP status 401: Unauthorized.

at Laserfiche.OfficePlugin.Common.DocModel.OPArtifactFactory.FromURL(IWin32Window hwnd, WebServiceArguments webURL, String filter)

It does not matter if we hit Edit or View. If we click ok it brings us back to the same folder and we can browse around and access without logging back in or "refreshing".

Yeah, if yours ends up being related to authentication issues I would be very interested to see you update this post with what yours was.

The cases that were opened for this issue were inconclusive and closed from no response. If you have a new issue like this, please open a new case at this time.

We were told it was related to Kerberos authentication and are in the process of building new servers to re-install WebAccess.

if the the WEB and APP servers are configured with secure HTTP protocol It might be when the plugin interact with the browser, the signature of that app is not verified. So try to issue a certificate and bind it with new cert in both IIS server of WEB & APP, remove the old installation of WA and do it again.
