Workflow.mdf, and workflow_log.ldf Extremely large

Hi everyone,

over the last 5 days or so, my workflow.mdf, and workflow_log.ldf have increased dramatically. they are 99GB and 31GB respectively. The laserfiche repository mdf is just below 3GB.

 

Can anyone guide me on shrinking these files and preventing them from getting so large in the future?

by using sql management studio, go to the workflow database and right click on it, and you should see a task to shrink the database.

 

also if you have a full version of sql and not the express, you can schedule to backup the database and add a shrink task to the maintenance plan.
