Question

Necessary Permissions for LF Connector?

asked on June 28, 2016

One of our customers is using LF Connector with a 3rd party app.  Using an admin service account, I'm able to set up a profile.  One of the other admins tries to do the same thing and is unable to.  When they drag the icon to the other application, it is unable to recognize the app.  The 2 accounts belong to the same admin group, so should have the same rights.  I've also explicitly added rights to everything I could think of for both Connector and the other application.

Am I missing something?  What else could affect the ability to set up a profile?

Thanks!

Have you tried copying working profile (.xml) from one machine to another?

Does event viewer say anything?

Hi Tim,

What kind of the 3rd-party application? Is a web/Client/Java app?

Does the issue occur on specified app or all the apps?

Hi Qinmei,

It's a departmental client application.  The issue only happens with this app, that we've noticed.  With both accounts, I've tried to run both applications as admin, but get the same behavior.

Thanks!

Hi Tim,

You would be better to open a support case, and provide the log to support. Here is how to enable the log.

Thanks,

Qinmei
