Using Links in PDF's

asked on June 27, 2016

We have a client that is wanting to use PDF's in Laserfiche that have links in them to other pages in the PDF.

They have created the PDF via Adobe Acrobat Pro and would prefer to use the Laserfiche Document viewer with the PDF Links, but it seems like it is an option that they can only use the Links if Laserfiche and/or Web Access open the PDF natively, outside of the Laserfiche Document Viewer.

The mobile app also has difficulty opening the Links as well.

Is this a functionality that Laserfiche can do? Has anyone had success with this?

What the arrows of your screenshot are pointing to with the thumbnails are the thumbnails of the TIFF pages that your highlighted options are creating. That's completely separate from the PDF displayed inside the Electronic File pane beside it.

In other words, whatever happens inside the Electronic File pane is pretty much completely independent of whatever happens outside of it in the rest of the document viewer. Thumbnail views, links to other parts of the PDF, etc., are all the responsibility of whatever PDF viewer plugin is default on your system.

I am not aware of any way to have PDF links signal outside of the PDF itself as you are asking. Sorry.
