Question

Question

mobile app crashes if you click on an HTML link in the form.

asked on June 24, 2016

Just wanted to bring this to the attention of the support team.

We have a form with an HTML link on it that the submitter can click on to take them to a website that has additional information about the Associations agenda. (owner of the form)

This works great when the form is accessed from a web browser, but if you are using the Mobile app (we tested IOS), if you click on the link, Laser Apps gives an error notification and then gets caught in a loop until it finally quits. We expect the users will not use it this way, just wanted to bring to your attention as this may be unexpected behavior.

Hi Steve,

Thank you for reporting the issue, but we were unable to reproduce the issue at the moment, would you please share the following information if possible?

1)   HTML link or the format you use in the form

2)  the screenshot of error notification

3)  the version of Forms/App/App server you are testing with

Thanks,

Natalie

Hi Steve,

Thank you, we found the issue result from the app fail to redirect URL without virtual directory, you can use http://snsa.goalline.ca/index.php as a work around for now.

Also, now closing the opened webpage in app closes the form itself as well, means the filled content will be lost. We will fix the redirect issue and have a solution for navigating back to form from the opened webpage in the next release.

Regards,

Natalie
