Laserfiche 10.1 and office integration Outlook 2016 plug-in

asked on June 3, 2016 Show version history

One of our customer is having a issue with the office integration Outlook 2016 plug-in. We manually activate the Outlook 2016  plug-in but when we close Outlook and restart it it is no longer there. The office Word plug-in works properly. We  upgraded this customer from Laserfiche 9.1 to 10.1.0.151 to try to solve the office 2016 issue but it is still present.

Customer has install Office 2016 (16.0.6001.1078) 32-bit

We have tried to disable all other plug-ins in Outlook but same issue.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thank you

Pierre

Hi Pierre,

1. Please check the disabled items in [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Resiliency\DisabledItems]. If any, remove them first.

2. Set "LoadBehavior"=dword:00000003 in [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\Addins\Outlook2016SaveToLaserfiche.SaveInOutlook]
and [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\Microsoft\Office\Outlook\AddIns\Outlook2016SaveToLaserfiche.SaveInOutlook]

Thanks,

Qinmei

You might have different load behavior for outlook in regedit. it has to be 3 for it be started everytime.

Hello, thank you for your replies. there was no disabled items in 15.0 only one in 16.0 customer deleted it and load behavior is set to 3 for both, but we still loose the LF ribbon when we close and reopen outlook. can you think of anything else?

If they leave outlook open and manually activate the plug-in all works great.

Thank you

Pierre

Hi Pierre,

Do you close all outlook windows before remove disabled items and modify data for "LoadBehavior"?

If loose LF ribbon again, could you please check:

1. Whether "Laserfche.OfficeMonitor.exe" is running or not(check it in processes in task manager)

2. Whether Outlook has disabled item again or not

3. If yes for both item above, check whether there are items in HKCU\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Office\16.0\Outlook\Resiliency\DoNotDisableAddinList

Qinmei
