Question

Client Server 7 Supported Configurations

asked on December 2, 2014

What has happened to the Client Server 7 Supported Configurations page?  I understand that the support for version 7 is reaching end of life, but it has not as of yet, and even if it had, the page should not be removed as the information should be preserved for its historical content.

I have been using KB Article 1011814 for information on Version 7, and it appears to still be up.

The Dev Notes pages are a temporary way to get information out. They're written by Laserfiche Development as we test features. Once we update the documentation or publish a KB, they are superseded by the official document and may be destroyed. This particular one has been taken down and replaced by KB 1011814 that Scott linked in his post.

Thanks.  The KB was not showing up in my site searches, but I had found about 4 posts that pointed to the Dev notes.

Thanks, Bert. We'll look into why that's happening.

If you search the support site for "supported configurations" (including the quotes) and then filter the results for Knowledge Base articles, then it will be the third article in the result set.

However, I agree that a more general search without having to use quotes and specifically filtering for Knowledge Base articles should return this item higher up in the result set and not buried x pages back. We'll see about modifying the relevancy ranking.

Unrelated to the direct question, but I wanted to note that it appears v7 EOL has been extended a year.
