Question

How can we specify a drive or path for Web Accelerator?

asked on August 1, 2014

I don't see any option to change the drive/path where WAA will store volume information.

In the WAA documentation, it says to free up space equivalent to the total volume size that is stored on the Laserfiche server.

I would like it's data to be stores on a drive other than the OS Drive generally on C.

How can I do that or can you add this option?

You can manually edit the WebAccelerator.config file and set a new path for DBFilePath and ImageVolumeRootFolderPath. You can use mapped drive pathing for local drives or UNC pathing for network drives. One thing to make sure of is that the identity of the WebAcceleratorAppPool application pool is using an account with proper rights to the location.

For more details on changing the location, see KB 1013398 on migrating the persistent cache for Web Accelerator.
