What are the attributes for an account that control the default resolution and settings for LF Scanning?

 I was wondering for both the Basic Mode and Standard Mode, what the options/names of the attributes for default resolution and color are.

 

We have a client and their users are not complying with the steps for scanning documents into the system and there are documents of large sizes being created. We want to help them set the default settings to the recommended settings they want the users to use (such as 300x300 resolution and black and white only) so that not every scan is in color.

The scanner settings are not saved in user attributes as they depend on the scanner. For ScanConnect, they are saved in setscan.ini in C:\Windows.

Laserfiche Scanner settings from inside the application you can open from LF Client does not store configuration/settings to user attributes?

That is correct. Anything that comes up when going to Scanner Options is saved in the setscan.ini file.

Does this mean we can open and copy over lines of information containing settings?

I have never tried it, but I would imagine that you could. It may vary per scanner model though, but I'm not sure. You could easily see if it does by opening the setscan.ini file on one computer and compare it with another and see if it is the same. You could then push a standard setscan.ini file out using group policy.

setscan.ini is in C:\Windows. Different scanners have different behaviors when they encounter settings they don't know/like, so I wouldn't copy the file to machines that are running different scanner models.

Hello

1- Sadden, when I select scanconnect as a scanner engine, I can not change the white/ black to color, whereas I can that when i choose TWAIN engine.

2- In addition, when I select TWAIN, I can't get clear scan document (pale) .

 

Note, I use Scanconnect 8.3, and I reinstall scanconnect and scanner driver many times, but i can't solve the problem.

 

I use (http://answers.laserfiche.com/questions/50923/ScanConnect-List) to solve other problem.

 

Please how can I solve one of above problem.
