Question

Does non-system manager users have the option to unregister repository in Admin console?

asked on November 14, 2013 Show version history

A user that is not a member of system managers logs into the Administration Console has limited access to the repository but when the user right clicks on the repository it shows the options for "Unregister (repository)". Can users actually unregister a production repository if they have access to the administration console? If so, is there anyway we can prevent the users to perform this task?

They do not. See the help file for more information on what the System Managers can do and how to configure them.

I think the question was regarding users that have access to Administration Console but are not System Managers.

Right, and if you are not a system manager, you cannot perform those functions. Be aware that users who are local administrators on the machine hosting the laserfiche Server are automatically members of the system managers group.

Note that while this is coming at the question from a different direction, it's basically the same question as: https://answers.laserfiche.com/questions/47009/Is-there-a-way-to-give-administration-console-access-to-a-SaaS-modeled-client-without-worry-of-effects-to-other-SaaS-clients-repositories
