Good afternoon presales,
This might be a simple enough question; however, I don’t have the answer to it. What does “Indexed” status at the folder level mean vs. “Indexed” status at the document level?
Looking forward to your reply.

Hey there,
The “Indexed” option just means that the document has been OCRed and is full-text searchable. Since there is no text associated with folders, the indexed option will always show up as “No”. I suppose it may be a little confusing but the indexed option doesn’t really apply to folders.
I saw this, but I have some folders that are marked as indexed. (photo attached)
Also, This is an email I received from one of our clients.
"We’ve had a couple of instances where our Search Catalog becomes corrupt and needs to be rebuilt. One thing I noticed this last time I rebuilt the catalog is that a large percentage of our documents are being indexed, even though we don’t ever need to perform a text search against them. (i.e. Deeds of trust all have nearly the exact same text with signatures)
I want to remove the stored text associated with an entire category of documents. Any idea how to do that?
Alternately, is there a way to disable Full Text indexing across a category of documents so only those we want indexed are included in the catalog?"
I'm having similar problem as the above image. Why are some folders "indexed"? How do you index folders?
