Change a field type from multiline to richtext

Hi, We have a field on form, which is multiline. We would like to change it to richtext. Is it possible to change it without creating a new variable? We are using Laserfiche 11.

Hi Khurram,

I don't think there is easy way to change the field type from Layout page. And it will be risky to edit forms database directly, because this change will affect both form-level and process-level settings, I don't recommend to do so. Is there any big concern if you simply create a new variable and simply deprecate the old one?
