Configured SSL Certificates to IIS but Forms Pages still "Not Secure"

asked on July 2, 2019

Hello, we're trying to assist a a customer with publishing a Forms Portal server and pushing a couple Forms we created for them to their website to be accessible to the public.

We've already installed and configured the forms portal server by following this white paper: https://support.laserfiche.com/resources/3481/hosting-laserfiche-forms-10-in-a-perimeter-network-dmz.

We've also set up the SSL certificates in IIS for both the internal Forms machine and the Web machine. We followed these instructions: https://www.laserfiche.com/support/webhelp/LaserficheForms/9.0/en-us/Forms/Default.htm#ConfiguringSSL.htm

But for whatever reason, the sites are still saying Not Secure. Both servers are running IIS 8 and the SSL certificate is a wildcard certificate.

I'm an amateur when it comes to this kinda stuff so any help or information on the matter would be much appreciated!  I've opened a ticket already but wanted to pose this question to the community as this may not be considered a "Laserfiche" problem but more of an IT config problem.

Is the wildcard SSL certificate include the domain that you use to access forms when typing in the URL?

Ok we figured it out.  The SSL certificate did include the domain but our primary forms URL did not...it was simply https://dms/forms.  We changed to https://dms.domain.org/forms and now HTTPS seems to be working.

Thanks!
