Web Client Configuration Not Opening After Upgrading To 10.2.1

posted on June 21, 2017

I upgraded my Laserfiche from 10.1.2 to 10.2.1.

Since upgrading web access I am unable to configure the web client at all.

I am just getting a blank website.

I did uninstall & reinstall the web client & also ran a repair on the server.

I have also tried Internet Explorer, Mozilla & Chrome with default settings.

Has anybody experienced this issue before?

Hi David,

We had exactly the same issue you posted. We reverted back to Web Client version 10.1.2 as a resolution.

Thanks,

Simon

Ryan's reply above is still the first trouble-shooting step. Do you see errors in the browser console?

I would start by confirming that those files exist on disk. The Network tab will give you more details on where exactly under the install path they should be. I assume that they are there, which means somehow IIS isn't returning them. There might be some information in the Event Log on the server machine. And you might want to double-check that you have the relevant components of the IIS feature installed. After that, you might want to open a support case.

Hi Ryan.

I am receiving 404 not found errors. But no 500 errors.

The event log only has the following information.

2017/06/21 16:03:06: Warming up application
2017/06/21 16:03:06: Requesting http://localhost:80/Laserfiche8
2017/06/21 16:03:17: Response: 200 OK
2017/06/21 16:03:17: Requesting http://localhost:80/Laserfiche
2017/06/21 16:03:21: Response: 200 OK

If you press F12 in chrome and navigate to the configuration page, do any errors pop up in the browser console? Under the network tab, check if there are any 500 errors (text will be in red) and if so, check the response body for errors.

Also, check the event logs (c:\ProgramData\Laserfiche\WebAccess\EventLog\) for errors. You can set the log level to debug by manually editing the WebAccessConfig.xml under C:\Program Files\Laserfiche\Web Access\Config\ and setting <EventLogLevel> to debug.
